March; 2010 In This
Issue: |
In March, the Consulate will focus on our partnerships with educational institutions. From quizzes on American history for high school students in Skawina and the Zoom in on America Challenge at the American Corner in Wrocław, to academic conferences looking at the legacy of the Solidarity movement and trends in architecture, we are looking forward to a flowering of ideas as we head into spring. We will even host at the end of the month some visiting professors, who will give a jazz concert in Krakow and then provide master classes to Polish students in Katowice and Krakow. Of course, spring reminds us that summer is just around the corner, a time when many Polish students travel to the United States for Summer Work and Travel programs. Consuls from the visa section will also be out and about in the consular district meeting with students to explain the program. And as always, our educational advising unit is available to provide information to students interested in studying at universities in the United States. Allen Greenberg |
