Greetings from Krakow!

It’s hard to believe that 2009, a year filled with exciting events and notable anniversaries, is drawing to a close. Even as we head into the holidays, the Consulate continues to hold a number of valuable activities, many of which are listed below. I would especially like to draw attention to our Tolerance Tram, which will tour Krakow on December 10.

November saw several innovative Consulate events. We marked the 90 years of U.S.-Polish diplomatic relations and our common holiday – American Veterans Day and Polish Independence Day. In Wroclaw we helped sponsor a school to train Ukrainian leaders on fighting corruption. We also hosted our university day here in Krakow, to be followed up by events in Wroclaw and Katowice later this week.

Please receive from the Consulate the warmest of seasonal greetings and our best wishes for a happy New Year.
