Greetings from Krakow! As the days get longer and April lives up to its flowery name in Polish, we are ready in the Consulate to focus on our planet. On April 22, we will celebrate the 41st Earth Day and the Consulate General is proud that April will be full of events in honor of our planet’s natural beauty. We hope you can visit us at one of our Earth Day themed events in Slask, Swietokrzyskie or right here in Krakow. We will also be sending Easter holiday greetings to Polish soldiers serving in Afghanistan and invite you to also think about those who are far from family during this time of year. Looking back for a moment, I would like to thank all of those who joined my wife, Haruko, and me in reaching out to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The individuals who gathered at my home and who sent along their best wishes demonstrated the compassion and generosity that we have to come to know in our time in Poland. Please visit our webpage to learn more about our efforts and for all of the activities we have planned in the month. Sincerely, |
Consul General
