Greetings from Krakow!

With the promise of spring, the Consulate is planning for April a month full of activities throughout southern Poland and with a little something for everyone. We will welcome Ambassador Lee Feinstein on a visit to Wroc³aw for meetings with political, business, and academic leaders as well as a visit to the American Corner for a meeting with students. We will have a series of events focusing on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, culminating with a conference of national parks with representatives from the United States, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Our consular section will host webchats on visa matters, including summer work and travel for students. International Roma day will be celebrated by a roundtable discussion with leaders of the community on issues facing the community.

And just for a little fun, we will participate in the Off Plus Camera International Festival of Independent Film with the Polish winner of the "Democracy is…" video challenge being honored at the closing ceremonies. We hope to see you at many of the events. As always, you can check our website or become a fan on Facebook to find out more about consulate activities throughout the month.
