International Conference: The World of the Future: Dialog or Conflict?

On November 15th the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow co-organized an international conference entitled The World of the Future - Dialog or Conflict?

The conference was opened by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy, Cameron Munter. It was attended by over 120 participants - academics, politicians, journalists and students.

Distinguished guests, among them former prime minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki, former minister of foreign affairs Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, and American University professor Gary Weaver, gave speeches and took part in panel discussions.

Conference participants

The discussion focused on resisting media stereotypes, religion as a source of dialog or conflict, and education as a means of promoting peace and cooperation. The conference was organized by the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow, Christian Culture Foundation ZNAK, and Decius Villa Association as part of the Bridges of Tolerance series.
