Meeting between former U.S. Ambassadors and Polish Students

On October 8, 2004 U.S. Consulate General in Krakow together with the Institute of Strategic Studies organized a roundtable discussion between Polish students and former U.S. Ambassadors touring Poland on behalf of the Council of American Ambassadors.

The meeting under the title "Diplomacy in Times of Peace and War" drew about forty students of Political Sciences, American Studies, European Studies and Economy as well as the Jagiellonian University Club of Young Diplomats. The event, moderated by Polish Deputy for the European Parliament and former Vice-Minister of Defense Bogdan Klich, featured a lively discussion on key issues in Polish-American relations such as: Polish historical support for the United States, involvement in Iraq, opportunities for Polish students at American universities and companies as well as the visa waiver program.
