Library of America Books Donated to Wroclaw University

A set of over 100 books published by the Library of America was donated by the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow to the library of the Institute of English Philology at the University of Wroclaw on July 1st, 2004. U.S. Ambassador to Poland Christopher Hill presented the donation.

The Library of America, a nonprofit publisher, is dedicated to preserving the works of America's greatest writers. The set contains works by Thoreau, Faulkner, Hawthorne, James, Melville as well as selections of American poetry, journalism and historical writings.
