CNN's Jeff Greenfield Previews Election for Krakow Students

CNN Senior News Analyst Jeff Greenfield previewed the upcoming U.S. elections for Krakow university students and professors on October 26, 2004. In a DVC organized by PAS Krakow, Greenfield gave an overview on the current state of play with only a week to go in the campaign. He also discussed some of the current examples of TV campaign advertisements, which were shown to the audience beforehand off the internet. Greenfield then answered questions varying from the role of foreign policy issues in the campaign, the impact of negative TV advertising and the rise of internet blogging.

In all around 50 students and professors from the American Studies program and the Journalism School at the Jagiellonian University, the Dept. of International Relations, Tischner European University and the Dept. of Political Sciences, Krakow Frycz Modrzewski College attended the event. Included in the group were two Ukranian journalists studying at the Jagiellonian journalism school under the Lane Kirkland Scholarship program a joint-venture of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the Polish-American Fulbright Commission.
